EasyODM Receives EU Funding for AI Project to Improve Quality Control in Production Lines

EasyODM has received funding from the European Union for a project focused on developing an AI-based solution to automate and optimize quality control processes in production lines.

The project, titled “Creation of AI Solution for Automating and Optimizing Quality Control Processes in Production Lines,” aims to address the challenges of quality control in the manufacturing industry.

Project Overview

The project commenced in July 2024 and is scheduled for completion by January 31, 2025. The primary objective is to create an AI tool that will detect and classify defects in products during the production process.

This will enable companies to monitor product quality in real-time, reducing production time, resource wastage, and ensuring that only high-quality products reach the market.

Key Project Activities

The project will be implemented in the following stages:

  1. Development: The AI system will be designed and built to meet the specific needs of quality control in production lines.
  2. Testing: The system will undergo testing in real-world production environments to validate its effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Optimization: Post-testing, the system will be optimized to ensure maximum accuracy and reliability in defect detection.

Funding and Financial Details

The project is supported by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU program, with a total budget of €180,039.36. Out of this, €102,000 is provided as de minimis aid by the EU, while the remaining €78,039.36 is funded by EasyODM.

Expected Outcomes

Upon completion, the project will deliver a fully functional AI solution that can be integrated into existing production lines. This solution is expected to streamline the quality control process, making it more efficient and accurate.

The anticipated benefits for companies include faster production times, reduced costs, and improved product quality.
